Twirlberry's Flower -- for Coloring Without Boundaries

It's Wednesday - Hump Day - and I have the pleasure of posting today for Coloring Without Boundaries, using a fantastic Lacy Sunshine image by the uber talented Heather Valentin.

Meet Twirlberry's Flower --

I'm going to break down how I colored the flower petals.  I'm going to color a few petals in this tutorial.

First, using RV04, I place a small amount of the darkest shade.

Second, add the second darkest color, RV02

Next, the 3rd color of pink, RV00

Now, it's time to add the second color, the yellow green.  Again, I start with the darkest color first, YG03

Next, add the second color of yellow green, YG01

We're getting close to the blending stage now.  Add the final yellow green color, YG00

Lastly, blend the 2 colors together, going back over  the petals with the 2 lightest colors, RV00, and YG00.  I colored in some water drops, too, with BG000 and BG10.  Be careful not to go over the colors too much or they can become "muddy" looking.

Here's the other colors I used on Twirlberry's Flower.

Skin -- E000, E00, E21, E34, R20
Eyes -- YG61, YG63, YG67, G25
Hair -- B60, B63, B66
Flower Stem and Leaf -- G40, G43, G46
Small flower -- B01, B04, B06
Dress -- BG000, BG01, BG05
Tights -- RV02, RV00, RV000 and YG01, YG00
Boots -- YG01, YG00

That's it for me today.  Make sure you visit Coloring Without Boundaries Blog each day for more fantastic coloring techniques. Then, enter our monthly coloring challenge -- we've got great prizes!
